The contest is underway and this weeks winners will be posted on Monday. We have lots of serious walkers in Chillibreeze so I expect that some competitors ( Chillibreezers)  will have walked as much as 6 hours in one week.

What does it mean anyway?  Does it mean you subscribed to get a feed from this blog and it appears somewhere? Or does it mean that you have a google homepage and this blog appears on your homepage. And why do you want to this blog?

Bangalore Writers Meeting

Sat January 30th looks like the date for our Bangalore writers get-together. We expect about 20 writers to meet the core Chillibreeze team to give us ideas for the coming year. In the next few days if you are selected we will send you an invitation.

The Internet in NE India

A few weeks ago the Shillong Press Club organized the first North East India media conference. I conducted a workshop on using the Internet and  started my talk with the usual questions to get a read on the audience. I discovered  how few people have good access to the internet -  perhaps less than 50% of the audience. And these were journalists and journalism students. Internet connectivity in Shillong consists of  BSLN ( government) and NE Line. Both provide unreliable bandwidth but at least NE Line is responsive and answer the phone and help when called on.  BSNL requires regular visits to wake them from their government slumber.

Journalism Conference in Shillong

Chillibreeze will have a representative speaking at the North East India Journalism Conference on April 11th 2006 at the Pinewood Hotel. The topic chosen for chillibreeze is perfect. We have been invited to speak for 45 minutes on "Using Technology to Influence globally"
