Bangalore, its most prestigous outsourcing hub, is still affordable compared to other top cities in Asia and expats can move here without much thought to expenditure to the company.

According to a Businessweek report, Infosys spends $5 million a year on buses, minivans, and taxis to transport its 18,000 employees to and from Electronics City in Bangalore and economic losses from congestion and poor roads in India are as high as $6 billion a year.

Public transport is inadequate and physical infrastructure is in shambles.

Tier II and III cities in India

Alok Aggarwal, chairman of Evalueserve Inc expects this to increase further ‘as many of these PPO off shoring trends are at the beginning of their lifecycles'.
